Holidays & Vacation Packages With Carbon Offset

Sustainable Vacation Packages

Sun, sand & a flight you would rather not think about. Klean Travel books vacation packages to Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba & Costa Rica — & offsets the carbon emissions of getting you there & back.

Where we book

Our package destinations are Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Cuba & Costa Rica: four of the most rewarding short-haul-from-North-America destinations for beaches, reefs, rainforest & culture. We also release last-minute deals within four weeks of departure, for travellers whose plans are flexible & whose budgets are not. Those last-minute packages carry the same carbon offset as anything booked a year out — a cheaper fare is not a reason to skip the emissions.

The flight is the footprint

For most beach holidays, the overwhelming majority of the carbon comes from the flight, not the hotel. That is uncomfortable, because the flight is also the one part you cannot substitute. Refusing to travel is not a plan most people will follow, & guilt has never reduced a single tonne of CO2. Offsetting is the practical response: you take the trip, & the emissions it creates are balanced by verified carbon reduction elsewhere. Booking through Klean Travel is how that happens without you having to arrange it yourself.

Why offset at the point of booking

Offsets bought months after a holiday rarely get bought at all. By attaching the offset to the package at the moment you reserve it, the decision is made once & it is made correctly. The emissions of flights, transfers & accommodation are accounted for together, & you get a single booking rather than a holiday plus a separate environmental chore. That is what we mean when we say book greener & reduce your travel emissions by booking with us — the greener outcome is the default, not the upgrade.

Who stands behind the offset

Klean Travel is wholly owned by Klean Industries, an industrial cleantech & resource-recovery company. Carbon accounting is not a side project bolted onto a travel agency here; it is the parent company's core discipline, applied to your two weeks in the Caribbean. The same measurement discipline that governs an industrial plant governs the offset attached to your package, & we would rather be judged on that than on brochure language.
